The results of a joint research project with Tohoku University have recently been published.

Topic: “Blending the Luster of Pearls with the Colors of Bird Feathers: New Structural Colors Born from Aperiodic Structures”

The artificial structural color material we developed is low-cost and is expected to have a wide range of applications, including cosmetics, decorative plastics, coatings, and other optically functional materials.

In cosmetics, the material exhibits hues that overlap with the skin’s color spectrum; color can be controlled by adjusting the composition, and in addition to harmonizing with skin tones, it has been confirmed to provide brightness and coverage.

We have also filed a patent application for this technology.
