Delivering sustainable ingredients

To supply sustainable ingredients, we have to ensure their traceability first. To achieve this, we are engaged in conducting various evaluations and actions.

1.RSPO

The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, or RSPO, is a global nonprofit organization that promotes the production of environmentally-friendly palm oil. It was established in 2004 after many voices of concern were raised across the world regarding the environmental impact of the rapid growth in the palm oil market.

(1)Our initiative

When promoting products containing palm oil, we make a point to recommend RSPO certified products. In 2015, we started with Book & Claim and then in 2017 became a Supply Chain Associate Member.

(2)RSPO certification

RSPO aims at promoting the production and use of sustainable palm oil and ensuring certification of such oil. There are four supply chain models.

1.Identity Preserved (IP)

Certified palm oil from a single certified producer is kept separate from ordinary palm oil throughout the supply chain up to the end manufacturer.

2.Segregation (SG)

Certified palm oil from several different certified producers is kept separate from ordinary palm oil throughout the supply chain up to the end manufacturer.

3. Mass Balance (MB)

Certified palm oil from certified producers is kept together with ordinary palm oil throughout supply chain up to the end manufacturer. A strict reporting system is enforced.

4. Book & Claim (B&C)

Credits of certified palm oil are issued and exchanged through the Green Palm online program between producers, manufacturers and sellers.
